Hot Toys Michael Jackson Thriller

My other early Xmas present to myself :))

He's looking pretty decent,I must say, despite my early verdict of how he looks a bit doofus, when I first saw some of the pics that were shown in the toy-world forum! Although to be honest, I still would've preferred the non smiling, 1st headsculpt of him, as it was better likeness of him. I guess Hot Toys will be giving that to us, soon, with the other release of MJ.

I'm not doing a review this time, since he's a pretty popular figure, and I bet a lot of more experienced reviewers would prolly be doing one. So here's some pics of him!

Oliver Peoples OP 523 Tyler Durden Shades

Just got these yesterday!

Been wanting to get these, ever since I saw the movie, Fight Club, and saw Tyler Durden (Brad Pitt) wearing these shades. These are pretty rare and coveted now, I personally got these from www.rarevintagesunglasses.com who specializes in hard-to-get frames and shades.

Fight Club is a 1999 American film adapted from the 1996 novel of the same name by Chuck Palahniuk. The film was directed by David Fincher and stars Edward Norton, Brad Pitt, and Helena Bonham Carter. Norton plays the unnamed protagonist, an "everyman" who is discontented with his white-collar job in American society. He forms a "fight club" with soap salesman Tyler Durden, played by Pitt, and becomes embroiled in a relationship with him and a dissolute woman, Marla Singer, played by Carter.

Here's a pic of Tyler Durden wearing it:

And the package that came yesterday:

And as a finale, a re cap of the trailer :D

Hot Toys Joker MMS DX

He's here boys!!!

It has been a tiring 4 days of waiting for him, I'm so glad that I got him :))

Not gonna say much, I'm just too excited to check out the details now. So I guess this would be sort of a mini review, but plenty of pics! I hope those will have to do for now^^

Packaging is ridiculously luxurious! and I'm glad he came with all 5 cards, put an end to all those chase card variants rumors.

Sculpt is top notch as usual, I'm always pleased with Yulli's work. They even make him look a bit 'hunched' on the sculpt just like his famous pose on those posters. Paint job is excellent as well. No sloppyness whatsoever, mine's perfect!

Okay, most anticipated feature on the DX is the PERS system, which basically means that the eyes can move just like normal human eyes could move! I just tried a few on mine, and its superb! They probably researched a lot for this system, as they took Enterbay's 360 eye system to another level. A job well done, I must say!

Costume wise, the joker's purple coat is a bit wrinkled up. So if you are a neat freak, you might wanna iron those out. But I dont particularly care bout that. Besides, the joker dont really care bout looking a bit messy anyways. Coat looks SOOO much better than the v1 coat, and it has those distressing and 'dirt' effects on them. Shirts, jacket looks like the v1 version, but for the vest, this time, they added the cinch at the back, and also those snap on buttons, instead of velcro. Tie has a nice material and pattern this time, but I just find the knot a bit too flat, unlike the v1 version. But yeah, minor setback. Chain is a bit longer this time around. And one thing that I noticed as soon as I took out the figure is that the pants are TIGHT. I mean, skinny jeans, Dior Homme, Slimane-esque TIGHT. I dunno, dont think Joker-man likes his pants and those crotch riding up that high! Lol! But it looks okay on him I guess.

I havent put on those bombs just yet, but from the instruction leaflet, it looks like I need to have a those eyebrow plug pin set to be able to set those pins and bombs. Yikes! Prolly would try it out later at home, as I dont have the necessary tools now. And I dont want to ruin him.

This guys packing soooo much accessories, (just like a kid in a candy store) that I just dont know which one to look at! But one thing that really catches my attention is the DX base. Looks nicely done, but there's NO batteries included. A bit disappointed, but whatever. I could run to the shop and get it in a bit.

Okay, regarding the cop joker, as I dont have a spare TT body just yet, so I didnt bother taking him out and examine him. But He looks pretty neat as well!

Hope this is enough for the moment, and please excuse me as I have to play with him a bit more. Enough talking, pictures time! (Warning, lots of pics, please excuse the loading time!)

* Just noticed that the eyes even have iris built inside them! Only visible when seen through certain angle! This thing is mind blowing, I tell you 8-o
