Enterbay Enter The Dragon Bruce Lee B version

ANOTHER one of my impulse buys this month, since I haven't got my Hot Toys Hellboy fig just yet. So I guess this'll keep the shelves warm for the moment ^^

My first Enterbay fig, the legendary Bruce Lee, from the creme de la creme maker, Enterbay. A picture says a thousand words, so here's a few Gs!

I got the limited edition version B which comes with the so called 'dragon' bag, which is just a glorified cotton black drawstring bag which has the Enterbay logo and all those wordings, no biggie.

Packaging: I really like the revolving packaging for these line, it has that Bruce Lee movie vibe to it. The box is really solid and heavy, this is probably why these costs more compared to Hot Toys, as they usually opted for more collector friendly packages, with Enterbay, its the presentation that counts. Just like the Japanese way of presentation.

Next thing that I noticed was the improved 'moving eye' system, from their GoD Bruce lee. These can be stylized individually. Brilliant!

Accesories:

A couple of posed hands (haven't really had a chance to play and swoop them with, but then again, I never really like to play around with these high end delicates, as I fear they are too fragile!)

And these black sneak suit! This is what I like most compared to the version A ETD Bruce, I don't really like seeing Bruce in the chinese traditional costume. This is the next best thing after the infamous yellow cat suit with those yellow Onitsuka Tiger from Asics. Comes with a pair of black socks too. These fit like a pair of hand made gloves on bruce. Not too tight, not too loose; P.E.R.F.E.C.T.

Next is the black drawstring bag that had ropes inside them. Once again, EB had nailed it. It really looks like a 1:6 version of the ropes Bruce used in the movie. I guess the 'dragon' bag which comes with the limited edition was to mimic these.

The shoes are, like the ones with brown soles nicely done too. Has "ENTERBAY" printed inside the soles, and an oddly "37" embossed on the outer soles, Bruce's shoe size?

My only complain is their choice of material for the nunchucks. Why rubber? I'd be a much happier man if they had opted for plastic or wood for that matter. Not too mention these scratches easily too, after my first attempt at placing it on one of Bruce's hand.

Next is the Certificate of Authenticity. Which has the infos on the sculptor, edition number, etc. Not really interested in these, as I don't normally get these when buying Medicom or Hot Toys fig. But since I'm doing a full review on these, might as well just throw these in :p

Alrighty, enough with those infos. Here's the fig out of the box. Excuse the repeated poses!

Upon changing the costume, I noticed minor stains from the blue pants, no biggie for me. But not something I expected from such an expensive figure. I also noticed that even the body is individually numbered! SWEET!

Finally, these is the get up that ended up on my shelf. It was fairly easy to put these on (as I've been trained by Hot Toys when I put together Predator kits, those are a bitch!) everything was pretty much logical, that they don't even bother giving any instruction manuals!

I don't try and do various poses, thus no review of the poseability of these body, but I'd say they do their job quite well. I'd give it a total score of 8 out of 10. Might be picking up the Fist of Fury version soon if my bank account allows me to do so after this one! \(^_^)/

Medicom Star Wars Darth Maul

So its been a while since HT last released their Ironman mark 3 and I'm kinda bored already with all the waiting for their next release.

Thought that I might as well buy something to keep me preoccupied. Just got me these Darth Maul by Medicom last week. Now, its been almost 10 years since my last Medicom purchase, and I must say, this figure has a 10 out of 10 in the fun and pose-ability department! Never have I had so much fun with a toy, that I posed and take pics of this figure for more than an hour! My HT ones usually hit the shelves immediately right out the box!

The only downside is the neck adapter, the joints are too visible, compared to the Sideshow version of Maul. The shirt is a tad too fitted than the ones Ray Park was wearing in the movies. And the belt, which looks like a single plastic mold, compared to the Sideshow ones which are like a wrapped around leather belt. So I MIGHT get the Sideshow version and do a little mix-n-match later. But overall, I think this is one of the best random purchase I have done in a while. And I'm glad I got these!

Here are the pics!

A pic of Maul next to the HT Joker & Batman figure, to compare the height issues many find to be a turn off when purchasing Medicom 12" figures. I find Medicom Maul to be screen accurate in height, as Darth Maul (Ray Park) is 1.75M tall.

And finally, a pic of Maul chilling out with a bunch of Predators ^^

Enjoy~
